Dr. Nicerio “Rio” De Leon
With over 15 years of experience in practice, patient care, and education, Dr. De Leon, DC, MSN, FNP-C is an exciting addition to the professional staff at Spring Spine Center.A lifelong dedication to education, excellence, and patient care is what drives Dr. Nicerio “Rio” De Leon, DC, MSN, FNP-C to incessantly pursue his career in the medical field. With an education spanning over two decades, Dr. De Leon, can count himself among the accolades from the University of Texas 1991, Texas Chiropractic College 1995, Patty Hanks Shelton School of Nursing, Hardin-Simmons Universtiy 2009, and Ida V. Moffet School of Nursing, Samford University 2011.
Dr. De Leon’s undergraduate career includes two Bachelors of Science degrees in kinesiology, and nursing. Post-bachelorette degrees furthered his education with a Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Master’s of Science in Nursing. Family practice has always been a passion in the care of Dr. De Leon’s patients and in May of 2011 he saw this to fruition by culminating his education as an honor graduate from the Ida V. Moffet School of Nursing, Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama and becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Since his certification, Dr. De Leon has become an active member of several professional organizations to advance and hone his profession as a Nurse Practitioner. Texas Nurse Practitioners, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Montgomery County Nurse Practitioner Association, North Harris County Nurse Practitioners Association, and the Honor Society of Nursing Sigma Theta Tau International are among just a few of his professional accomplishments.
